One of my favorite projects for our son’s nursery!

I really wanted to embrace the clear thinking/blank slate feeling white offers with more minimal decor, while still adding some texture!

I’m so excited to put together an outer space themed nursery for our little guy, starting with this planet mobile! I found this kit for only $28 on Amazon with all the supplies, so I decided to give it a try!

I hardly know anything yet about gardening, but I thought I would share what I learned from getting started.

I didn’t want to spend any money, and we had a set of these plastic drawers that wasn’t really being used for much, so it served the purpose! But as you know, anything non-aesthetic…

After lots of Google searches and some helpful YouTube videos, these are the steps I tried and I was really happy with the end result.

Initially I planned to just sand it down and add whatever cheap clear coat on top — easy peasy — but I ran into two problems

I’ve never made anything involving electricity before, and I didn’t really know how, but thankfully my dad is the king of all things circuits, wires, soldering, electricity, blah blah blah, and he was willing to help! After my dad helped me make the first lamp, I was basically able to make the second lamp on my own — giving me hope that I can make some more for my own home and hopefully explain the process well here.
